Mandy Moore This Is Us Rumors

Mandy Moore is often the subject of false tabloid stories. Gossip Cop has debunked several bogus reports about the “This Is Us” star as of late. Here are a few wrong rumors about the actress.

Gossip Cop called out RadarOnline last August for making up a story about Chrissy Metz breaking up a supposed feud between Moore and Milo Ventimiglia on the set of “This Is Us.” The blog alleged that the actor was being difficult and moody during shooting, leading to issues between him and Moore, who plays his wife on the hit NBC drama. In reality, the co-stars are very friendly and Metz never had to step in to resolve a nonexistent conflict. As we noted at the time, the two frequently praise each other on social media. For example, Moore celebrated her co-star’s birthday on Instagram last year, writing, “As remarkable as Jack Pearson is, this guy is even better… Our job is so much fun because we get to do it together.”

In March, Gossip Cop busted OK! for falsely claiming Jessica Simpson was jealous of the success Moore was having with “This Is Us.” According to the tabloid, the two women have been rivals since starting out as pop stars in the early 2000s, and Simpson was upset about Moore’s acting career taking off. Sources close to both stars, however, assured us there’s never been any sort of feud between the two. Additionally, although Simpson has appeared in a handful of films, she never intended to pursue a full-time acting career. Instead, the former singer created a billion-dollar fashion empire, so the idea that she’s jealous of another person’s success simply isn’t true.

In January 2018, RadarOnline made up a story about the “This Is Us” cast and crew being frustrated by Moore and Ventimiglia’s so-called “off-screen fights.” The website maintained that the co-stars had clashing personalities and couldn’t stand each other. A source involved in the production of the NBC series told Gossip Cop that the story was false. Meanwhile, Moore frequently posts behind-the-scenes videos on Twitter in which she and Ventimiglia are having a great time on set. And as noted above, Moore has continued celebrating Ventimiglia’s birthday on Instagram. Just months before the article was published, the actress called her co-star “the greatest tv husband (and let’s be honest, greatest guy in general)!!”

And in August 2017, Gossip Cop debunked an OK! story claiming the producers of “This Is Us” were forcing Moore and Ventimiglia to “act like a real-life couple” while promoting the show. The tabloid further maintained that the actress didn’t mind tricking fans into believing they were truly in love, but her co-star was uncomfortable with the idea. The story didn’t make a whole lot of sense. “This Is Us” has been one of the biggest hits on television since it premiered, so it’s not as if the show needed manufactured hype. Meanwhile, Moore got engaged to musician Taylor Goldsmith shortly before the report was published. It’s well-established that the actress has a significant other in real life, and fans of the show would probably know that. Regardless, sources close to both stars, as well as NBC insiders, dismissed the story as nonsense.
